Bushfire Management Statements

Building projects on properties that have a Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) may trigger the planning process, specifically Clause 44.06 - Bushfire Planning and Clause 53.02 - Bushfire Management Overlay

 

A BMO applies to land that may be significantly affected by extreme bushfires.

This planning provision has different pathways depending on the zoning of the property and the project. We can streamline the process by looking at the building design , positioning, access and water requirements early in a project so that revisions are not required to satisfy the bushfire planning requirements.
